SEARHC is a non-profit health consortium which serves the health interests of the residents of Southeast Alaska.

SEARHC was established in 1975 under the provisions of the Indian Self-Determination Act. The intent of this legislation was to have Indian Health Service programs and facilities turned over to tribal management. Our contracting with IHS began in 1976 when we took over management of the Community Health Aides Program. In 1982, we took over operation of the IHS Juneau clinic, now the Ethel Lund Medical Center, and took over operation of Sitka’s Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in 1986. We are one of the oldest and largest Native-run health organizations in the nation.


We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and high-energy Talent Acquisition Coordinator. The role will support a recruiting team with the objective of efficiently and successfully organizing and coordinating high-volume interview and onboarding activity.



  • Post jobs to recruitment job boards and social media outlets.

  • Assist in coordination of phone, onsite and Vidyo interviews for candidates with speed and efficiency, to include scheduling and travel-related needs.

  • Meeting and greeting candidates who are onsite for interview.

  • Facilitate pre-employment and onboarding processes to include delivery of offer letter packages, completion of background checks, drug testing requirements and employee health requirements prior to candidates scheduled start date.

  • Work as a liaison with candidates and the designated corporate relocation provider to ensure recruitment support during this process.

  • Maintain recruitment applicant tracking system ensuring information is up-to-date.

  • Participate in the collection, analysis and communication of staffing metrics.

  • Create efficiencies in current processes and procedures utilizing a variety technology methods.

  • Communicate professionally and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times both internally and externally with our candidates.

  • Deliver a great recruiting experience for all candidates.

  • Produce ad hoc recruiting reports.

  • Participate in recruiting events.

  • Perform administrative duties as required to support the talent acquisition team.


Minimum Position Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree required



  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience scheduling and supporting talent acquisition activity in geographically dispersed environments, preferably in healthcare.

  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook or PC based calendar/meeting applications.

  • Experience building relationships with external and internal clients.


  • Ability to exercise persistence and resourcefulness in the search for specialized information, including extensive internet and telephone research.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Professional phone demeanor.
