About the Role: 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will act in a full cycle Recruiter capacity, responsible for sourcing, screening  and interviewing candidates for hourly, salaried, and Director level and above positions.

The role is an integral contributor to the success of the Human Resources team in managing the overall execution of the talent acquisition process and ensuring consistency with Morey policy, strategy and goals.

  • Actively recruiting candidates for open requisitions for our five segments across numerous professional functions. 
  • Partners with hiring managers and segment leaders to determine staffing needs.
  • Design and implement recruiting strategy.
  • Develop, update and manage  job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/social media outlets.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates, administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire, and delivers employment offers for exempt and nonexempt positions.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews, and transfer offer letters.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations regarding hiring practices.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensures data accuracy.
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to recruitment.
  • Continuous management of requisitions that will vary with business demands.
  • Conducting phone and/or onsite interviews.
  • Presenting top quality candidates to Morey hiring managers and segment leaders.
  • Ensuring processes and procedures promote the best talent and meet internal promotional goals while following EEOC compliance.
  • Collaborating with HR team and business leaders to drive recruiting campaigns.
  • Contributing regularly on scheduled team update meetings.
  • Creating a positive experience for our applicants and newly hired team members including supporting the Onboarding process.
  • Providing analysis of reports/metrics and making recommendations for improvements (e.g. Time to Fill).
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends.
  • Ensuring adherence to the selection process.

Requirements

Four year college degree is preferred, HR and/or Business emphasis preferred.

  • 3-5 years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes such as phone interviewing, reference checks etc. 
  • Results-oriented mind-set with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management establishing rapport and earning the professional respect of management.
  • Must be able to work with a driving sense of urgency; and have the ability to solve problems.
  • Prior experience in effectively recruiting via social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, Twitter)
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google products.
