Summary of Position:

 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to support the employment goals of the organization. In close partnership with hiring managers, the Specialist facilitates the hiring process, including but not limited to developing and implementing proactive recruiting strategies, identifying and screening viable applicants and making recommendations on candidates to be interviewed and selected for employment. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the recruiting strategy, methodology, and processes are aligned with the company's talent strategy and desired employee capabilities/skills.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct recruiting strategy meetings and educate hiring managers on hiring process and best practices
  • Post and manage current employment opportunities on appropriate job boards
  • Evaluate applicant credentials to determine competencies related to position description and ideal candidate profile
  • Proactively conduct searches for qualified candidates using applicant tracking system, LinkedIn and other relevant resources
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews with candidates identified by (or agreed upon with) hiring managers with a focus on alignment with our culture, values and ideal candidate profile
  • Maintain applicant tracking system, tracking all appropriate requisition and candidate activity
  • Promote CIEE’s culture and values and help ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Schedule interviews for selected candidates; facilitate travel plans and accommodations with travel agency when applicable
  • Process travel reimbursements for non-local candidates
  • Lead debrief meetings with interviewers and provide guidance on selection criteria and decision
  • Provide guidance to managers to help ensure constructive feedback is provided to unsuccessful internal candidates
  • Assist hiring managers in ensuring accurate and legally compliant job descriptions
  • Maintain job description repository in SharePoint
  • Run reports from applicant tracking system and leverage data to make informed recommendations on effective recruiting sources, time to fill and other key metrics
  • Advise managers on salary offers based on internal and external equity      
  • Assist Manager with special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of full cycle recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems required, UltiPro preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing creative recruiting strategies utilizing a variety of sources
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter strongly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills, including intermediate Excel skills for reporting
  • Experience with recruiting to enhance diversity preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-talk, and strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of recruiting and employment practices and related laws
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Willingness to relocate to Portland, Maine
