As key a member of the customer-oriented Human Resources Department, the Talent Recruiter will play a critical role in the development and delivery of strategic recruitment strategies to cultivate a talented and diverse staff workforce. The Talent Recruiter will provide dedicated full-cycle sourcing and recruitment for various level staff positions in assigned departments and/or areas, delivering a positive and efficient candidate experience.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to drive best practices in recruitment for a dynamic institution and to enhance operational efficiencies in the sourcing and onboarding of talent.  The Recruiter will partner with hiring managers to develop customized recruitment strategies and provide consultation and guidance on interview practices and onboarding planning. The Talent Recruiter will have experience managing multiple full-cycle recruitment processes simultaneously and will have demonstrated the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, external community partners and organizations to support these efforts.  The Talent Recruiter will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition and Operations and work closely with multiple cross-functional teams, interfacing extensively with candidates and managers.

Essential Functions

Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and hiring managers to understand organizational plans and objectives, staffing and recruiting priorities, to develop targeted candidate pipelines, utilizing a variety of means such as developing local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies, as well as developing new and creative recruiting tactics;  

  • Responsible for the overall recruitment process, from sourcing through onboarding, within assigned departments and/or areas managing the full-cycle recruiting process, including but not limited to: interviewing candidates, coordinating interviews between candidates and hiring managers, providing feedback for both parties, and extending offers, offer negotiations and supporting a thorough onboarding process;
  • Proactively build and maintain pipelines for anticipated hiring needs for multi-incumbent roles, seasonal hires and other staff positions as requested;
  • Deliver comprehensive support and consultation to business hiring groups and candidates throughout the full-cycle of recruitment process, to ensure a smooth recruitment process execution and a positive candidate experience;
  • Guide hiring managers through talent acquisition processes with on-going, pro-active communications regarding status of searches and to ensure a consistent, compliant and cross-functional interview process for each candidate;
  • Assist hiring managers with interpretation and implementation of HR policies related to talent acquisition and recruiting best practices;
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the College academic and business units and their competitive landscape;
  • Effectively leverage social media and sourcing tools in alignment with hiring priorities and goals;
  • Manages and delivers recruitment reports and metrics, evaluating themes, generating insights and recommendations. Presents reports, trends, updates to leadership on a regular basis as directed by the Director of Talent Acquisition and Operations;
  • Supports the Human Resources department and/ or the Director of Talent Acquisition and Operations in the development and/or implementation of new recruitment and onboarding projects;
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required in staffing, sourcing and/or related recruitment environments.

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Suites;
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (experience with Workday preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a relevant human resources/professional recruiting role;
  • Fluency in web-based recruiting tools and social media recruitment best practices;
  • Excellent planning, time management, decision-making, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to leverage applicant tracking system functionality in a way that streamlines processes and positively impacts candidate experience and engagement;
  • Experience in metrics-driven recruitment, analyzing data and reports, suggesting new solutions or recruitment methodologies;
  • Strong acumen of HR processes, systems and best practices, as well as legal compliance and national employment law and regulations;
  • Demonstrates curiosity and desire to continuously learn and grow and contribute to the professional growth of others;
  • Well-developed analytical and influencing skills, unquestioned integrity and confident presence;
  • Demonstrated ability to build confidence, credibility and respect of leadership to effectively manage expectations and strategic alliance.
