We are seeking a Talent Specialist who can contribute to our recruiting processes at all levels of the firm in order to help us achieve lasting change.

In partnership with other members of the People Team, the Talent Specialist will support the execution of the firm’s recruiting strategy in order to attract, identify, hire, and support diverse talent.  This role will report to the Senior Manager of Recruiting.


  • Execute and manage logistics of recruiting processes
    • Support the development of recruiting process plans  including sourcing strategies
    • Post job openings in Taleo (FSG’s applicant tracking system) and on external job boards
    • Manage communication with candidates; respond to candidate inquiries
    • Schedule interviews; communicate interview details to candidates; provide FSG interviewers with relevant materials for candidate evaluation
    • Record and manage candidate data in Taleo in a timely manner; ensure candidate statuses are accurate and up-to-date; run weekly reports to track candidate pipelines
    • Ensure equity and inclusion principles are embedded in all recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Analyze recruiting data and develop strategic recommendations
    • Analyze recruiting data to generate insights on how we attract, evaluate, and retain talent  
    • Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of our recruiting process including candidate sourcing strategies, recruiting software, and interview techniques, etc.  
    • Provide thought partnership to Senior Manager of Recruiting around how to develop and evolve recruiting strategy and practices; surface new and innovative ideas to enhance processes and achieve our goals  
    • Incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all aspects of recruiting strategy
  • Support other People Team projects
    • Partner with other People Team members to address overall needs of the firm; project assignments may include compensation benchmarking, retention analysis, etc.
    • Over time, we anticipate this person’s portfolio will broaden beyond recruiting and may include aspects of compensation and benefits, onboarding, professional development, and talent management 


  • At least 2-4 years of recruiting / talent acquisition experience; experience with people analytics is a plus
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communicator in a business setting, including professional phone manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Experience using Excel (or other relevant tools) to analyze quantitative data
  • Proactive problem solver with a strategic mindset
  • Willingness to take initiative to get the job done and improve processes along the way
  • Experience managing complex scheduling requests
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience considering and applying diversity, equity, and inclusion principles strongly preferred
  • Passion for FSG’s mission to create large-scale, lasting social change; knowledge of the social sector preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems; knowledge of Taleo is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required


This is a full-time position based in FSG’s Boston or Washington, DC office. Salary is competitive for position and non-profit sector; it also includes a generous benefits package.  As part of those benefits, FSG offers health insurance with 100% of premiums covered by FSG for its full-time, US employees as well as disability and life insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Note: visa sponsorship is not available for our US offices. In addition, we are unable to support the OPT Training visa, as this visa will eventually require sponsorship.
