IPHCA is a 501-c-3 membership association that provides technical assistance, training, support, and advocacy for community health centers that serve an under and uninsured patient population state wide. Visit us on the web at www.indianapca.org.

The Training Coordinator reports to the Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) Director and Community Health Center (CHC) Programs Manager.  The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting Community Health Centers to achieve their mission of providing primary health care and wrap around services to the uninsured and under insured in the state of Indiana. Working with staff of the Indiana Primary Health Care Association (IPHCA) and its programs, the training coordinator focuses on using data to achieve changes in health care quality and evaluates various needs through surveys, assessments, and open communication with partners.  The training coordinator is responsible for bringing together all data sources to provide relevant and impactful training by using adult learning theories, technology, engagement strategies, and long-term evaluation. The Indiana Primary Health Care Association thrives on collaboration, and teamwork, so any applicant must be a strong team player, able to achieve goals within a given framework and deadline. The ideal candidate is innovative and active, with an ability to outline problems and provide solutions without prompting, and work multiple projects at once. This position not only affects IPHCA and members of the association, but ultimately improves healthcare outcomes for people in the state of Indiana.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources or Organizational Development is required along with a minimum of two years previous training experience in a corporate, healthcare, or non-profit environment.  The position also requires proven ability to complete the full training cycle (from needs assessment to evaluation); proven work experience with coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting; knowledge of instructional design theory/implementation and adult learning principles; ability to manage several projects in an organized and efficient manner; ability to prioritize and organize tasks and time; accuracy and attention to detail; effective verbal and written communication, with an emphasis on listening and accurately documenting information received; ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer group in a complex environment; strong team building/collaboration skills; creative thinking; and excellent, high-level proficiency in all Microsoft Office software.
