CIBTvisas is seeking an experienced Training Manager to join our team in McLean, Virginia office.  The Training Manager will support the organizations commitment to delivering Service Excellence to our clients.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Training Manager will be responsible for the following key functions: 

  • Partners with Operations leadership to develop training programs and tools that strengthen productivity and performance of the Operations team, ensuring reinforcement of our Customer Commitment and Standards of Work.  Maintains an up to date knowledge of products and services, developing tools that will enable team members to deliver Service Excellence. 
  •  Works closely with the Director of Training, Quality and Compliance and the VP Operations Support to develop specialized training that drives consistency in Standards of Work; ensures technical elements of training are validated by the appropriate parties and tested prior to roll-out. 
  •  Under the direction of the Director of Training, Quality and Compliance, and in partnership with the Global Training Manager, coordinates and delivers global training initiatives:  compliance training, Service Excellence, Best Path Forward, and support for Management Excellence.
  •  Acts as the Learning Management system administrator for North America, ensuring data integrity of system, aligning training programs to participants, and uploading programs.  Monitors participant enrollment and completion, runs reports, and identifies opportunities to strengthen use of system.
  •  In partnership with hiring managers, Training team and HR, coordinates new hire training; facilitates corporate and immigration new hire training.  Identifies opportunities to ensure a welcoming induction to the organization.
  •  Takes a continual improvement approach to training, evaluating materials for effectiveness, identifying opportunities to enhance the design and delivery of content. 
  • Promotes a continued learning environment; identifies training needs and partners with Director Training, Quality and Compliance, Operations leaders and Training team to develop short- and long-term training plan.  
  •  Ability to travel and work in our local offices up to 40% of the time.

 

 

Requirements

EDUCATION / TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. 1.      BA/BS in Training and Development, HR or related field.  
  2. 2.      Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience developing training materials and facilitation.  Experience in a service, travel or hospitality environment highly desirable. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  1. 1.      Strong communication and interpersonal skills: clear written and verbal communication with demonstrated understanding of communication methods and styles; facilitation; present with confidence and clarity in a manner that matches the learning audience. 
  2. 2.      Strong writing skills; ability to draft content, user and participant guides; identify training objectives and develop content accordingly. 
  3. 3.      Multi-media learning solutions; demonstrated experience in various training deliveries to ensure alignment with participant learning styles; success in validating the transfer of learning to on-the-job practices, skill enhancement, and enhanced performance objectives. 
  4. 4.      Excellent organizational and time management skills:  adhere to deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances; handle high volume while maintaining excellent attention to detail; monitor own work and self-edit.
  5. 5.      Ability to problem solve; analyze information and apply expertise and provide solutions. 
  6. 6.      Able to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work accordingly.  Self-starter with desire to show ownership and commitment to role. 
  7. 7.      Proficiency with computer software; Power Point, Webinars, Go-To Meetings; aptitude for learning new programs and commitment to data integrity.
