We are EnSafe Inc., an employee-owned, growing, national professional services firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. We are currently accepting applications for a Vice President of Human Resources based out of our Memphis, Tennessee headquarters. This position will support the Human Resources department in developing, deploying, and continuously improving a wide variety of HR initiatives throughout the workforce to meet and exceed business objectives, while driving excellence within the department.   This position will touch a variety of functions within HR including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Functions as a strategic advisor to executive and senior management regarding key organizational and management issues, as well as day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Works with EnSafe’s executive management to develop a management succession plan that corresponds with the strategy and objectives of the company.
  • Translates the strategic and tactical business plans into actionable HR strategic and operational plans.
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance of the HR function by overseeing talent/staffing, training, leadership development, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Develops staffing strategies, implementation plans, and programs to identify, grow, and retain talent within EnSafe for positions at all levels to meet the human capital needs of the organization.
  • Oversees compensation and benefits programs that provide motivation, incentives and rewards for employees while being cost effective and competitive for the company.
  • Assesses the competitiveness of EnSafe’s programs and practices against comparable companies and like industries.
  • Represents the company at industry meetings, local organizations, and professional societies.
  • Enhances, develops, and implements HR policies and procedures for EnSafe by way of systems that improve the operation and effectiveness of the organization, as well as make the work “life” easier for employees.
  • Oversees technology within the HR Department, constantly evaluating, investigating, training, and upgrading (as necessary) to ensure smooth operations while being fiscally responsible.
  • Serves as EnSafe’s Risk Manager as it relates to HR compliance and State and Federal laws.
  • Serves on and leads, as appropriate, strategic internal committees and functions, including: Compensation, Charitable Giving, Wellness, and Investment.
  • Establishes credibility as a leader at EnSafe, effective listener, and sounding board for managers and employees.
  • Provides support on other projects as assigned by the CFO, President or Executive Leadership team.

 

 

We require a minimum of a Bachelors degree in an appropriate area, as well as at least ten years’ of HR experience and the appropriate HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP). Previous experience with ADP Workforce is preferred.
