University HealthCare Alliance (UHA) has a new opportunity for a Vice President of Human Resources. University HealthCare Alliance is a physician network and medical foundation partnered with Stanford Health Care (SHC) and Stanford Medicine. UHA was formed with a mission to provide excellent medical care through exceptional access and service in communities around the Bay Area, and a vision to heal humanity through science and compassion, one patient at a time. 

The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for developing and managing UHA’s human resources (HR) team, strategies and operations to ensure that the organization’s business objectives are met. He/she will identify, design and implement needed infrastructure, programs and associated change management processes by collaborating with partners in the operating divisions, ancillary and support departments within UHA and its affiliated medical groups. He/she will report to the Senior Executive Officer, and serve as a member of the UHA Executive Leadership Team.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior HR executive and leading a corporate HR Team
  • In-depth experience in a healthcare environment with matrix reporting relationships, preferably in an ambulatory care, medical group or medical foundation organization
  • Demonstrated success in driving HR initiatives and programs in a rapidly developing and changing environment with transformational agendas
  • Strong knowledge of California Labor Laws highly preferred
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
