Exciting Vice President of Human Resources opportunity to lead HR for St. Lawrence Health System in Potsdam, New York

The Position

  • The Vice President is responsible for daily operations and functions of the Human Resources department for the system
  • Oversight includes Employee Relations, Recruitment, HRIS, Compensation and Benefits, Volunteers and Records Management
  • Top initiatives for the VP include negotiating union contracts, automating the performance appraisal system, refining the compensation program, and measuring productivity through metrics

  • St. Lawrence Health System is comprised of Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation, Gouverneur Hospital, a physician group and the Accountable Care Organization of North Country
  • The health system is the largest employer in St. Lawrence County with over 1,200 employees
  • Canton-Potsdam Hospital, the system’s flagship hospital, is a not-for-profit, 94-bed community healthcare facility
  • Its core programs in emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, and critical care are supplemented by outpatient health centers in Brasher Falls, Canton, Norfolk, Norwood, and Potsdam, NY, and by specialist care in over 25 different specialties, including a robust orthopedic surgery and sports medicine program and the Center for Cancer Care
