Primary Responsibilities:

The Human Resources department has an immediate opportunity for a Strategic HR Business Partner to join a talented and high performing HR team. This position is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Naperville, Illinois. This position will be responsible for supporting the sales, business development, marketing, supply chain, finance and merchandising solutions leadership teams.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can drive change and business results through the use of strong influencing skills and deep Human Resources expertise. This position will lead the Human Resources function in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, organizational design. This position must assure that all policies, practices, and actions of the company and employees comply with all applicable provisions of federal, state and local laws and company policies. The perfect candidate will be a culture champion, focused on promoting a positive employee relations culture and forwarding the core values and serving focus within the business.

Accountabilities are accomplished through working collaboratively with corporate leaders and the Human Resources centers of excellence team to foster an environment consistent with KeHE’s culture, Mission and Values.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for all HR activities for the sales team through Regional HR teams, including the HR Sales Center of Excellence.
  • Develop and lead strong HR sales leadership team to support the business.
  • Provide HR strategy and thought leadership.
  • Role model behaviors that are congruent to KeHE’s culture.
  • Change Management leadership; emphasis on progress, simplicity and customer-centric response.
  • Adapt HR strategies into actionable initiatives that address the needs of the sales team.
  • Provide courageous people perspective on business issues, even when unpopular. Support sales leadership team by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decision making.
  • Contribute to a strong and unified HR Leadership team to create and drive synergies.
  • Leverages talent acquisition support to source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources management experience performing a wide variety of HR generalist activities. Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership of a team of HR Professionals, preferably with both a local and remote team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is required.
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification preferred.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

  • Contribute and support to the overall goals of the Human Resources Department.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve emotional and complex problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
  • Able to work effectively with peers, region and corporate leadership, and the sales force in a productive collaborative environment coupled with the ability to be decisive is needed.
  • Proven ability to interact with and influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure and handle multiple highly sensitive issues and competing priorities.
